Winter Wonderland

We've had a lot of snow in Leeds! This has meant walking instead of taking the car. Well, not walking in a striding out kind  of way - more like a slow shuffle with knees bent staring at the ground and looking for ice patches. I've been so slow walking that I've had to stop to let people behind overtake me. Those pensioners sure are fast walkers, even when they're carrying 4 bags of shopping. My daughters were delighted to be sent home from school on Wedenesday morning because of the heavy snow. It was lovely for us to walk home that morning, eating a hot sausage roll and appreciating how quiet the roads were without all the cars. The snow is beautiful but I'd like it to go now as I haven't started my Christmas shopping yet. I wonder if I could buy everything on Amazon this year?

Here are some photos I've taken of my garden. You can see how much snow has fallen on the table (yes, I know that garden furniture should be tucked away in a shed by now). The snow has covered up all the leaves that I haven't swept up and all the weeds that I haven't dug up. Thank you, snow.
