Stories for you

I've just put a picture book story on my website - I hope you enjoy it. I shall be putting lots more on in the next few weeks.

These are stories that were sent to publishers but were not taken on. I loved writing them all so it seems a shame to just put them away in a cupboard.

You will see from the amount of stories that I will post that I have had a lot of rejections! But rejections never stop me, they make me more determined to get my stories published.

I went to the park a few days ago with my daughter. She took her bike and I took a flask of tea. I noticed a group of toddlers ripping up some flowers that had just been planted. They were moving them about to their own required designs. Is this a new crime wave that's sweeping the country? Have you noticed disturbed flower beds? Perhaps they were arranging the flowers in a certain way as a code for fellow toddlers. They were very organised - one did the ripping up, one did the planting and one kept a look out ("Is Mummy watching us?" "No, she's talking.") When the crime was complete the tiny terrors destroyed the soil evidence on their fingers by licking them clean. Then they all decided to use the potty that their Mummy had placed on the grass - the bare faced cheek!
